Local Bookshops

Waterstones

West Village Shopping Centre, Dartford, Greenhithe DA9 9SE, UK – 01322 624831

A very enjoyable place to browse I could spend hours in here looking at the wonderful books and stationary on offer. They have a good range of novelties too and the staff at Bluewater store really know their stuff and are always helpful. They can look up books and authors for you and order in books of they aren't available. Many celebrity signings too. A very relaxing experience.

Decent enough size branch with the basic amount of stock, very similar to a lot of the other medium size shops in the same group. Nice and quiet, clean and well laid out. Friendly staff, seats so you can preview your purchases.

Newsstand Comics and Candy

Suffolk Rd, Dartford DA1 1EJ, UK – 07969 124363

Small and compact. Great selection of up-to-date comics. Not much in terms of a back catalogue sadly but they do also sell unique drinks and other pop culture bits. Always great to visit.

Micro store selling a range of American Candy, Comics and Graphic Novels. Staff are excellent, but the size of this store cannot be understated. Sadly despite being located so close to a free (1 Hour) car park, it is hidden away behind the car ramp and footfall here is not as high as it deserves to be. Worth a visit if in the area!

The Works

Priory Shopping Centre, Dartford DA1 2HR, UK – 01322 586808

I love this shop. It has everything you need for paper crafting, painting but also fantastic selection of books, some children toys and crafting materials. All at discount prices. It is really well worth visiting.

What a great shop, you get such bargains there, lovely staff, you have to go !!
